What would you do if you lost your sight?
The reason I ask this is because a few months ago I had a migrane which was affecting my vision. Vision on my left eye is bad as it is and my right eye (my good eye) was beggining to fail too. During the two weeks the migrane lasted, I asked mysefl: What would I do if became blind?
I think I'd go crazy for a while but then I'll probably learn to play and instrument or something. I'm not sure, everything I love to do requires my eyes.
What would you do?

Hone other senses and skills.
I'm basically blind without any corrective lenses, but obviously it's different from being fully and medically blind. I've thought about this quite frequently over the years, because of my weak eyes.
I still don't have a specific answer though.

heck sometimes i think i might jump careers and build boats anyways. Would be pretty cool, just making a few teak/oak sailboats a year, selling em to the rich for an obscene price...

get your eyes scooped out, and install self-lit snow globes. You won't be able to enjoy the look yourself, naturally, but think how fun it will be when you walk into a room and hear "Good god! Holy shit!"
