i hear different thnigs. some say a dome is the strongest structure. others say a pyramid/triangle is.
so what is it.

Depends on the application but usually the sphere, dome and ellipsoid are the strongest forms. In some cases of 2-dimensional weight bearing structures a triangle is stronger or preferable.

*punches qruise in the dome
I heard it was pyramid/triangle.

Yeah, but can't a triangle like puncture a dome? Like the dome is all hanging out, minding it's own business, and then outta nowhere, BAM, comes a flying triangle, all point-ended-y first and with an intent to harm, and POP there goes your dome, all punctured and shit.

I think the triangle would win, yes.
But some days, you feel like being friends with the dome because it is more smooth, understanding, soft, comfortable, and wholesome.

Try and crush an egg between your fingers... and then try and crush a pyramint... if you can't find one of them anymore... try a walnut whip.

the triangle is the strongest, easiest form to produce, the circle is definitely the strongest, yet quite difficult to manufacture. this is what i was told in the architecture studios, that doesnt say anything as to its validity.

Than why aren't there more pyramid like buildings? That would be cool instead of all these glass boxes everywhere...I'm sur eit has to do with getting your biggest buck square footage wise..prob cram more offices into a square than a triangle given the same volume of real estate...but imagine pyramids all over NYC or Tokyo..with Domes in between..awesome..
