if you had to choose between a normal 30 gig ipod, or a 8 gb ipod mini (so much nicer looking) which would you opt for.
both cost $249. is the smaller size worth it to u.

no, not video. i dont need that.
i have roughly 40 gigs of music.. doesnt mean i need it all on the ipod.

If it doesn't have video, I'd go for the smaller.
But that's me, because I know what I'd use it for and what I wouldn't use it for. I tend to carry just 2 GB of music with me.

depends on 2 things ...
- how many tunes you want to have on your ipod at one time. having a smaller one may mean you need to 'manage' the songs more.
- how big a bulge in your pocket you want to carry around with you. a lot of people will get the shuffle or the mini for playing sports with or for at the gym as its light. feck trying to do a workout with a 30 or 80 gig in your shorts pocket lol.

also depends on if you are a girl or a guy - no self-respecting guy would carry am ipod mini.
Also the storeage diff for the same price makes it a no brainer.

I have a ipodphoto30gb and its pretty much the same size specs as the normal ipod 20gb
its no bulge on the trousers.
+ its always gd to have allsorts of random music on ur ipod.. ur obviously not gonna listen to it all the same day, but u never know what u might get a craving for :)
IMO i hate little flimsy weightless things, the 30gb has just enough weight to be taken seriously and not enough to be heavy on the pocket

i have most of my mp3s on my ipod and rarely change playlists...i'd rather have all my choices all the time. so less than a 40g won't work for me.
