What's the best method for creating a baloon/tooltip that appears when you hover a link - and this baloon dynamically loads content once you hover?
Seen plenty of scripts, just after everyone's favorite or something robust you peeps can recommend.
Thanx :)

Get a library, take your pick:
and that's as far as I can help you because it takes a library to deal with all that cross-browser shite that JavaScript breaks.

or use that fjax thing.

hrrmmm... 6 lines of code eh? oh long are your lines?
Second, do ya know what ajax is? none of those sample y'all provided have any xml. which is the x in ajax.
which is cool, most people use the term ajax as a style, sort of like web2OH, but it is not. Get ye' terms right
- urban100
ajax doesn't always involve xml... but more b/c it uses XMLHttpRequest to trasfer data btwn the client and server:

What urban said. Ajax isn't doing clever things with DIV's. It's main power comes from XMLHttpRequest - communicating with the server or database AFTER the page has been loaded - like on a "onclick" event - something CSS can't do on it's own.

I assumed our question asker had confused DHTML with AJAX and responded without nitpicking.
