The Sens - Pens isn't tomorrow because of how Il Divo (foreign band founded by Simon Cowell, that judge from American Idol) is playing in our arena, lol.
So it's on Saturday instead.

IL DIVOOOOOO!
- Jaline0
you sound just like them. you should sing along.
- walkman0
no no no no no NO
it was like this...
IL DIVOOOOO!!
(the voice is deep and rough, almost shrieking and my fist is pounding the air in front of me)youknow?
- Jaline0
LOL
The headline in our paper today is something like this:
"Show some class Ottawa, don't boo this boy"
Okay. Who's been sleeping with Crosby on the news team?
J/k
But the writer did note that we didn't boo Gary Roberts, and he has been worse to our team.

Hahaha, are you serious?!@
- Jaline0
YES
- Jaline0
lol, now the local radio station is just talking about hockey and how people should stop booing Crosby.
Some callers:
"I think it lacks class to boo a young player like that - a young superstar. It's wrong to boo a young player who is at his best."
"I love the support we're giving our team, and I'd be shocked if Pittsburg didn't boo our best players. As soon Crosby gets a bit more maturity, he will be more of a great player."
"This is a playoff series, he's 19 years old, and he's the best player on the other team. If he were retiring, no one would be booing."
WTF
I think we're too nice.
- Jaline0
someone else:
"Booing is as much a part of hockey as cheering is."
"I think Ottawa fans should focus on why they boo their own players after just a few losses, instead of worrying about why they boo a star like Crosby."
hahahah

... It reminds of me of that scene in Canadian Bacon where John Candy and his USA friends are driving a truck thru Canada with like "Canada Sucks", "Eat It Canucks", et cetera all over it.
They get pulled over by the police and thinking they are going to get in some serious shit.
...
Cop kindly informs them that Canada has two official languages and that any sign in English must be in French as well.
And has them spray paint all the derogatory phrases into French and sends them on their way, hahaha.
- Jaline0
LOL
that's exactly how it is

It’s weird. I can see in the regular season perhaps not booing.
But this is the playoffs.
What kind of message is that giving to your team?
I’d be surprised if Spezza and the gang don’t get booed ridiculously when they come to Pittsburgh.
I mean in baseball when I go to games and a player I respect is on the other team I don’t boo... I don’t cheer either however.
And whenever they are up to plate I usually make some long winded self-deprecating jokes on how I should be booing them but I just can’t.
I remember Alfonso Soriano struck out last year, and I was on the 1st base line with him walking back and I was telling him how it’s okay he still has more baseball ability in his little finger than the entire Pirates combined, and that he also makes more than the entire Pirates combined.
...
He tried to hold in his laughter and tipped his hat, haha.

heh, I think there should be a reason though.
I mean, usually people boo captains or fighters on the team. Not just the best player.

(Apr 13 07, 06:23)Flavor? You were on the 1st base line with Soriano?
Is that true? or were you in the stands (on the 1st base line)?

we had a street hockey game at work last night and lost a heart breaker and the I come home to find that the flames lost...
my life was briefly spinning out of control.
I played goalie for the first time, and kicked ass though.
