What would happen. If you had say an WD MyBook 500, and you got drunk and were stomping through your room and you knocked it ro sumfink, and then it was no longer recognising the drive. And well bascially you know you fucked it.
And you decide to send it back to the people cos its in warranty. What would happen if it contained a ton of illegal software, movies, music, software, TV shows, software... oh and the odd bit of porn, nowt fancy or kinky, just bog standard girl on girl action.
Would they fuck you up?

i doubt it. i had a HD crash on me and i had all my setup files for every app i had, including cs1 and some other stuff, serial box, &c, they never said anything.

haha you should be ok.
my flatmate had a laptop that kept on overheating and shutting itself down.
he sent it off to be fixed and it was full of allsorts of software and porn he'd downloaded.
he got the machine back with a covernote telling him what was wrong ... there was loads of crap clogging up the fan and that was causing it to overheat.
and just to be cheeky they selotaped the offending crap to the cover letter. it was basically bedfluff and pubes haha.
and they suggested in teh future he bought a stand so that the machine could have adequate airflow under it rather being used on a bed.i.e get yourself a laptop stand if you want to watch porn in bed ;)

dell laptops are the worst for overheating..
Just get an aircan and blast carefully through the vent, then back thru the fan to clear it out.oh, noone asked that, did they ?

it is not a laptop
It is an external harddisk which i kicked over. Made by Western Digital. I have it on the floor, not on my bed.
