Quick remedies pls.

Mine ALWAYS go away if I hold my breath. Sometimes I also drink water.
So I don't have an remedies for the intense ones.

I do a breathing control thing, not sure how to explain it. I think it works by me taking a deep slow breath and letting it out slowly and deliberately and keep doing that until they go away. I haven't hiccuped more than once in probably 10 years.

i have to drink small sips of water steadily while holding my breath to get rid of them (i exhale before i start).
a spoonful of granulated sugar works too...put it on your tongue and slowly swallow it w/out chewing.

now this one works, but it's tricky:
drink slowly from a glass, but ..from the wrong edge of it :) I mean you have to hold the glass in your hand and bend your body forward, put your lips to the side of the glass that is on the outside. In order to drink you normally would bend back, but this time bend further forward. It's funny when you try it.
My mom says it works best with pepsi/coke.
