In SF last night I saw a billboard in blue with bold white serif type that said: "The algorithm killed Jeeves." I'll bite, my curiosity is piqued. Anyone know what this is about?

I don't understand why any search engine would target ask.com when they're in a distant not first or second in the search game.
Maybe ask is justifying their jeeves removal (some time ago though) by calling out their new algorithm.
its all just speculation that will stop interesting me after my first scotch tonight. beats working though.
