Probably because FX reads HTML and CSS properly.

is there a fix for this for IE then?

I'd blame macromedia menus..
Nice soundtrack though ;)

there's some styles in the javascript - maybe it's messing up somewhere. try controlling the margins or maybe the line-height of the layer with a superimposing class in the css file. .div {

uhhh, how do i do that??

use the holy hack.
For all others type this:
.class {margin:whatever}
for the IE padding / margin you do this:
* html .class {margin:whatever}

like the others said above check yr use of margin and padding properties of the css styling the div containing the menu

okay, i still don't get it. i'm not using CSS for the menu - it's just in a table. how do i fix this so it looks the same in IE and Firefox??

you need a mute on your swf. and somehow i doubt you have permission to play that song on the site.

i'm guessing margin collapse?

Use suckerfish style drop downs instead. They're a more cross browser friendly css hack.
