how many news reports of splattered bike messengers are there in NYC?
... watching these clowns do what they do (cutting into traffic etc)... I almost want to see one of them get hit.

really? do lots of them get hit? i guess they would...

rarely do you ever see someone get hit by a car or bus in nyc but it happens, i never seen it myself...i have a few bike messenger friends and only of them was ever hit but it was the side of a bus so really he hit the bus...

i worked in Atlanta. Got doored off-duty. I am surprised I never got hurt on the job cause we did some stupid shit. By far the funnest job ever though but this was in the mid 90s probably different now.

I think it looks like a blast. I've always thought it would be fun to do a job like that... maybe just for the summer. The air quality would worry me the most. Those guys aren't on crack - they're huffing car fumes!

that is somehow relaxing as hell to watch.

i think thats what i liked about it. its a really reflective video?!

that's how i ride to work every day. riding, especially on a track bike is very relaxing.
i think that was footage from my friend chris or at least someone wearing his helmet cam.
there were 28 bicycle fatalities last year in nyc - not necessarily all messengers.

SF's on some whole other planet shit

i've ridden brakeless fixed in the city for years, no accidents yet. i saw lots of accidents in SF, but mostly because everyone drives like morons there. sf also happens to be the only place i've ever had an accident in a car. nothing bad in nyc yet, but i have met the guy that lost his leg to a garbage truck- he still rides with one leg and a crutch strapped to his frame
