can someone say skell? read below ... aquent...for MS... working for the man? jeebus... well the guy said he wants referrals so if you are interested in the following... his info is at the bottom...
--------------------------I found you on carbonmade.com and wanted to see if you'd be interested in doing some work out here on the west coast, working for the man, well kind of.
Here's the scoop on what we offer:
1. You'd be a W2 employee of our company, paid hourly + full benefits
2. Contracts usually last 6-12 months and it’s 40hrs/wk
3. You work onsite at MS headquarters in Redmond, WA
4. We don’t pay relo or travel
We do hire people from out of state often, it just has to be the right fit. You’ve got to be interested in either moving to the area long-term, or be willing to come up for a year and possible have to move back or look around after the contract is up. MS has a rule that after 12 months, you have a take a 100 day break before coming back. They do convert contractors to full-time, but there’s no guarantee. I’m painting an honest picture for you so there’s no surprises.
The positions range from very visually dry, front-end IA and UI design to highly Actionscripted Flash demos (http://lebron.msn.com, http://rockstar.msn.com) and everything in between. What questions and thoughts do you have?

I think the days of people willing to go to Redmond, Washington - not being paid for travel or relocation fee ... just to work for 6 months to find someone else is going to take their place.
...
Are gone.
This might still have a chance in lower California...

glad you are getting a kick out of it... a few years ago I would have actually thought about this...but that is what desperation does...makes you do desperate things...
