Our agency, BPDS, have just completed work on Gumtree.com's first ever offline ad campaign which is appearing now on the London Underground (Tube cards & 6 sheeters) - examples at http://www.bpds.co.uk

Hey Nice Pub.
Shame your website tells me nothing about you & the work you do.

those adverts could go a lot further in showing the concept of someting like gumtree in an interesting way. They also keep the hideous styling of the website which I feel was a mistake.
The site needs a new logo and much better identity.

pretty much 'meeh' work there, (not saying I can do better/ worse), and you've posted this twice now. 1 more and you're out!

gumtree's hideous style was one of the reasons it stood out..

I don't buy it.

At first I was all like "woaaaah Gumtree branding", and like, "woaaaah - loads of text" and then like, "woaaahh... it looks like the internet"
But then I realised you're putting them on Tube Cards, and I know that I'd quite happily sit there, reading them over and over again.
Good job, imho ("woaah").

Thanks for the comments. Yes - Gumtree's unique styling and 'Bulletin Board' feel is definitely being used as a point of differentiation to cause a bit of standout on the tube. Gumtree users are generally quite possessive over 'their' site and brand and the comments from the community has been really positive. There's a feature in the Media Guardian about the advertising this Monday.

Way to tow the company... er, agency line. You can drop the client speak here, you know. I doubt they're listening. :)
