The final part of my ongoing mission to conquer flash. :-o
My SWFObject works fine on all browsers except IE. (It shows the 'please download latest flash player' alt text) even tho it's already got the latest version.
anyone else had this problemo???

It works in my IE6 and 7, win, Flash player 9.0.16
Do you need to export in the latest player version? Wouldn't it work in 7? Do you need to use the heavy 8kb swfobject thingy? I never liked it, for most applications I always used my own embed function anyway..

Thanx Rafaiski
iv tried it on IE7 with flashplayer9 and it gives me the alt text everytime.
Its reassuring that it works for you on IE7 win tho. Maybe a javascript problem.
Yes it needs to be 8 or higher as the text is rendered with the new flash8 pro setting.

try this
SWFObject("header.swf", "header", "754", "318", "8", "#000066");
insteag of
SWFObject("header.swf", "header", "754", "318", "8", "#000066");

sorry, instead of
SWFObject("header.swf", "header", "754", "318", "8.0.0.0", "#000066");
