Any native/fluent Japanese speakers out there that can help me out with a quick translation?
"Fear the 'noun'"
I know it'll start with the noun, then a o/wo, then the kanji for fear, which I have... but the ending is beyond me, and I don't trust Babblefish.
Also, it's a slangy sort of phrase in English, and I don't know if a direct translation would carry the same meaning...?
Help?

fear translates in different manner in accordance with the noun
fear associated with water can be different fire

thanks JSK – the noun that I'm dealing with is equivalent to something inanimate and athletics related... like a Randy Johnson fastball for the sake of a somewhat comparable example. So 'fear the fastball' in a Randy Johnson/baseball context.
The general type of fear is fear of competitive defeat. Not fear of physical harm, or terror.

you could say it both ways
like ..
scary fastball
fearful fastball
or
being worried or afraid of "noun"
this would be what you are asking for.Afraid would be better word to bable

anybody else have a good sense for this sort of thing?
or a recommendation for a reasonable translation service that would take on a single/small inquiry like this?
