Not sure if this has been around but it's pretty funny behind the scenes during the filming of I Heart Huckabees.

Some directors can't handle the pressures. There's some sad irony in respect to the content of the movie too. Not very enlightened and loving behavior from someone claiming to be in pursuit of those things.

I'd seen the one where Russell blows up, but not the other. Really crazy and disheartening. I truly love that film, and had such respect for his vision as a writer and director. I am sooo against treating cast and crew like that. I have heard that he does these things on purpose to get certain subtext and undertone on film when shooting. But I sooo disagree with that as a method.
Sux, man.

I like the movie too. Mostly because I thought I liked the place it was coming from.

You knwo the funny thing about this is--David O Russell is really close to the character Hoffman plays. He has spent a long time studying Buddism and all sorts of very inward thinking philosphy. Such odd behavior. Hell, maybe there some sort of interesting lesson here.
Mark Wahlberg btw, is dedicated to the guy. He said in an interview he doesn't care if he was just runng kraft services, he follow Russell to the ends of the earth to work with him.

I know. I thought it was 'staged' at first.

We're a day late.
I'm surprised you didn't like it Rand. It just came across as rhetoric to you?
