how did you come up with this?

1. i went back to school.
2. the awesome dan michaelson (http://linkedbyair.net) gave us an assignment: make a web page that responds to current weather conditions.
3. i decided to f the assignment by making a weather widget with no form of its own -- just uses (moves) elements from other websites.
4. needed a page to brand this ambient widget (why not an ugly web 2.ass page?) and allow people to launch it using whatever ZIP code and URL they want.and that's how windmaker was born. word.

I guess the winds of Canada are waaaay too vicious to have as an option.
