hey THA...what type of position are you interested in?
we're looking for a UI designer, w/emphasis on usability, e-commerce and back-end application design. i don't think that's up your alley but in case it is (or anyone else here) let me know.
- material-10
all your ui designers are belong to us
- -sputnik-0

is there any good photography goin' on out there? i've been searching superpages and search engines but al i seem to find is headhshot type shit

i don't know much about photography, except i worked at a place which had 3 in-house photographers snapping 80+ pix a day (of inanimate objects). seemed like a weak gig for a quality photographer, but those guys were actually really great and made the products look fantastic.

ive only been to beaver creek & surrounding areas of colorado but fuckin' loved it. i'm wondering if this is a wise idea

JG.. the photography in denver area is pretty bad.. there are few good people.. I used to work as a photoeditor in town and dealt with a lot of the commerical shooters pretty cheesy stuff... I am here though!! :)

Whens the last time you guys did a Denver NT booze fest?
- spendogg0
quite a while ago - we denverites are pretty flaky.

cool shit man. i figured since the art institute there had a photo major there would be some more exciting stuff
- madirish0
wow.
i am shocked to here that loaf. the front range is *loaded* with a ton of world-class photogs. my very close friend and ex-roomate being one of them, and the work for lifestyle/action photogs is pretty high in CO. granted, the work may come from outside CO, but nonetheless...
what type of stuff do you guys shoot? subject, specialty, commercial, editorial...
- JG_LB0

huh? I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.. there are some good sports shooters... nature yes.. i was talking more of what i see locally (editorial, commerical) there are some big shooters that live in the mountains that i would not really call local.. photogs that have houses in Aspen etc.. I work with a rep here in town.. basically the only rep here in town.. Her photogs are ok.. nothing exciting, very plain stick up a soft box and call it good.. I guess i look at say Outside magazine. I always see articles in there about colorado.. always shot by somebody out of state.. i go to art shows here.. pretty lame photo stuff.. I went to the art institue (which i would not qualify as a "art institute" like say chicago.. it has more in common with trucking school or Devry) Everybody i went to school with shot pictures of squirels and loved Ansel Adams..

I am sorry.. that was the worst money i ever spent.. RMCAD seems like a cool school.. there has been talent out of CIA... i am pretty sure that brooks freehill went there.. as did Andy Jenkins.. but i think he went there before it got bought out by the Art institutes..
