hey Guys,
heading to Nyc for 2 weeks looking for a cheap but comfortable spot to lay my head some where in Manhattan can any one recommend...been lookin at the gershwin or the carlton arms

Check craigslist to see if anyone is subleading their apartment during the time you are here. In situations like that/you get nice places in desired locations. If your going to be here visiting, why not try and put yourself into the shoes of actually living here. Could turn it into a entirely different experience.

there is a hostel on west side in midtown.. lots of japanes girls stay there..
about 20-35 a night.

my friend just stayed at the pod hotel on 51st and 2nd. she said it was like $100 a night.
rooms are pretty small, but they had free wi-fi, a full bed and one of those sweetass rain showers.
