i've used DIN and Mrs Eaves together a few times and they work a treat (in my mind anyways).

Uncle Helv treats most ladies well. Never a perfect match, but decent enough for any highschool prom..

yeah, but he's my UNCLE!!

DIN is not a bad suggestion – however it has its corporate design nation stigma attached I feel.
Any gothic face with a tall x-height tends to contrast Mrs. Eaves well, for example Trade Gothic or Franklin Gothic.
However, you could also play against the quirkiness of Mrs. Eaves by getting much quieter and moving to an akzidenz grotesk perhaps, or something similar.
good luck

Somebody here just did a job with Mrs Eaves. They hooked her up with humanist.
They seemed to be getting on alright but I think they make a boring couple.

boring is good. a legible bodyfont goes unnoticed.
poor typographers..

You realise that Mrs Eaves is just a poorly spaced version on myself (Baskerville). She'll make a poor bedfellow for any sans. No rules on this, just make her go on lots of blind dates until she's happpy.
*totally confused about whole type/dating metaphor.

it was a blind date baskerville

Franklin Gothic

i agree w/ Baskerville about his eponymous typeface.

I'm siding with Baskerville and gramme on this one. I think you should start with a new workhorse serif. Maybe make it a previously married serif/sans combo and you won't have to worry about finding a match.
