photoshop color situation

ok, so I've never noticed this problem before, but yesterday I just got this new iMac and I save for web to make jpegs to send over to the clients who are on Windows. So basically I just had to tweak a screenshot from a website and when I saved it and opened it in preview it's a lot brighter, but the site and the psd in photoshop match up fine. How do I get it to stay the same forever , throughtout every application and file type?
Please help, it's like 800 degrees in here and I'm going crazy, thanks...
