Just a reminder...if you're on the west coast between 10-noon you can go grab yourself a free cup of Starbucks joe. If you're anywhere else, you just missed it or you better hurry.

i have a personal prob with starbucks...
likely story: i live in a really great little historic neighborhood with a lot of small businesses, inclusing 2 locally-owned coffee shops. this summer, starbucks is opening right across the street from one of them. it's gonna attract jerks.

pfft, I just get a regular coffee or americano. we're talkin $1.20 something - $2.40 something. I'm going to have to agree that about 90% of that shit coming out of Starfucks is simply high calorie sugary goodness in a cup or brown paper bag

Personally, I hate them too. And their coffee is shite. I'm in LA, so Coffee Bean is up high on my list, although the indie places are great too. But Starbucks is across the street from my offce and closer than anything else. Although there's rumors of a Coffee Bean opening in April...

I hate the way they wont allow you to order just a small cappuccino or whatever, they always have to repeat the order in Starbuckian and look at you as if you're wearing a hat made out of cow shit

i've been off coffee for 5 months and right now, i'd even go for a cuppa starbucks. and that's saying something.
