Webcam for Mac?

Now that the iSight is discontinued, anyone have any recommendations for a webcam for the mac?
I've checked ebay, but don't feel like paying out the ass.

i just hooked up my dv camera.
a little annoying, but it works.

stewart yes reall y it works very well indeed :D email me and heck I'll send you the plugin thingmy needed to get the thingmy to work, make sure you have your logitech install disc at hand as well :D

It is anoying because you have to turn it on. And because there is a video camera sitting on your desk.
Really not that annoying at all.

I had a few more questions about using your dv cam as a webcam...
do you need any special drivers? or is it literally hook up and go? Any info you could give me would be appreciated, thanks!

I just plugged mine in via firewire and it worked.
im not too tech sauvy, but no drivers or any of that crap.
my dv camera is a little bottom of the line canon.

yea, i have heard that it is that simple, haven't tried it myself yet though but wanted to check in and see. alot of the stuff i was reading about using dv cams as webcams and the need for drivers was for pcs.
