Smart Cropping / Resizing Tool ?

  hey nters, wondering if anyone know of a plugin or standalone app thats capable of resizing different ratio images to a fixed width & height.... now i know it wont be smart enough to crop to the exact area of interest, but if theres one tahts remotely close enough & does the job, it'd be great.

  for ex:
  900x600 img to a 50x50 output

  and

  500x1500 img to a 50x50 thumb output.

  one thats capable of doing mass batch resize. ;)
