what's the going rate for textile design jobs? how much should i charge per design? any idea?

depends what you're designing, and how far into production you're carrying the project.
i find for every hour i put into a design there's probably 2 hours of emails trying to get factories to understand.
also there's a textile pricing section in the GAG handbook.

hrm...for what industry is it for? where is the textile going to be used on?
if you have experience in the industry...no less than 85k

toy industry. i'm designing the icons, patterns, etc. for their line of dolls. it's a freelance job. i'm hand drawing then digitize, color, etc. i'm drawing many icons and later i'll arrange them in different ways for the pattern. i'm having a hard time getting the estimate together since i've never done it before...

ahh...well first figure out how much you want...then break that down in terms of an hourly or day rate, or straight job rate.
