...drive a fucking stake through IE6? Spent 48 hours coding..looks great in firefox, a few minor niggles in IE7..looks like ass in 6...
Fuck you IE6...Fuck you IE6 you dysfunctional, narcissistic bloated excuse for a browser...die. Die soon. Die often.

you should look into the definition of niggle. you completely used it wrong and seems you yourself, niggled last night.

I think I creatively stretched niggle, don't think I misused it:

"preoccupied with trifles or petty details."
i.e. just a few petty details in fixing the IE7...
What are you, the grammar police? Geez...

Had you tested while you coded, you wouldn't have this problem.

Haha...well, you know, I upgraded to IE7 on my laptop at home, and in the IE7 install process I guess MS erases IE6 from your hard drive..nice work MS...
Just walked into work this morning and tested what I did on IE6..I mean I expected a few problems..but oh for srying out loud..

I'm so glad I don't do any html work anymore.

you used it wrong, now i'm niggling about it which makes me a niggler, see the difference? and what moth said ;)

...developer mantra goes, "test early, test often, test on all target platforms".

I for one do not test on IE6 till the end cause I'm on a mac. Luckily I implement certain bits of code before testing it as I know it will fuck up.
The double float hack is always one that really fucks a layout up.
a new quirk I came across the other day is you cannot start div ids with numbers...

We don't even mess with IE7 here yet. We're still coding in IE6. We know if it works in 6 it will work in 7.
A bunch of the people here at work installed 7 which as you said, wiped out 6, so a company-wide email went out telling all the developers and designers to go back to 6 because of various reasons. haha.

I'm totally with you. Whenever I code something really difficult in Firefox I get this extreme sense of satisfaction and happiness....until I realize that the bastard looks completely screwed up in IE. And then it takes me twice as long to fix everything.
