Overall, I like it. What about flipping the last 't' to mimc the first?

Overall it's pretty cool, but...
I'm not too crazy about the color - it could be too dark to write on, maybe ok for cards, but still i would experiment more. Foil is going to work good, but it's pretty expensive to print; otherwise gradient on the logo doesn't work :)I would consider putting a logo on the front side, too. ... when people put cards in cardholders, you don't see a back side until you take a card out.

i agree arseni. that stock colour will prove troublesome i would say.
there are plenty of stocks that are slightly coloured though. maybe a nice off white/light cream coour...
like the logo.

i wonder what the back of the letter is going to be

colours are not final, plus they're kinda subjective, can never please everyone with colour. the gradient on the logo is just to mimick a metallic sheen.
cheers

a silver foil on a bright white stock would look nice. do the address details in the foil also perhaps?

dope!

Nice. Foil will look tidy indeed. Agree about a lighter stock though.

the logo looks cool and the typeface is well chosen
i do get slightly put off nowadays by
- cream stock - (screams old pensioners society for some reason)
- metallic foil - i think lately people have come to realize that its not that hard/expensive/ludicrous to stick some gold foil on stuff, so even mediocre designers are pumping out stationary with foil to compensate for lameness. (not at all the case here.)
That and wedding invites, pseudo-high society retailers, exhibition invites etc)its got to the point where im seeing as tacky rather than exclusive :(
im thinking of making mine on a stamp and then fucking about mixing stampink pads to make weird gradients and stamp my details on all stationary..
so ... summary..
+ type
+ logo (maybe with the reversed t)- cream stock
- foil(but like u said u only wantlogo feedback - so .. yeah its gd!)

not taken by the concept at all. it implies that there are designers whom should not be trusted, which, in turn, casts a negative light at the profession to which we are all beholden.
honestly, i'd rethink it.

(Mar 1 07, 17:59)i really think you've got it all mixed up buddy, trustthedesigner implies that clients are always trying to mess around with concepts/design.. the intention is to 'trustthedesigner' more, i'm sick of being employed as a mac monkey instead of a designer.. this is my revolt! haha..
anyway the name aint up for discussion.
thanks for the comments on design.
- indian_pole0
just realised.. looks really creamy on my screen here at work.. point taken. wasnt my intention. looks dirtier and stonier on my home monitor.
a little 'old folks home' seems fair!
still like the idea of a coloured stock tho.

I really like it, the metallic would look ace.
Looks like something Matt B would do ; P

I like the overall look. I don't think the type treatment conveys the idea of trust. It's not very open or honest. Unless it's ironic?
- emecks0
looks good.
Are you getting them printed in Edinburgh?

(Mar 2 07, 01:18)cheers, yeah probably, although i know a dude who knows a dude who prints foils cheap as chips on the west coast in a shed. need to get a website sorted first tho.. not sure, plenty of time to play about.
- emecks0
let me know about the foil printer. I've not found anywhere that's not extortionate :(
- phatlee0
These guys are cheap http://www.foilribbon.com/ and their finishes are superb. Its worth asking for a copy of their sample book.
