lets say i have a string var like so..
var blah:String = "text1";
i do a createTextField() using the blah variable in the instance name.
ok..but now how do i access this new text field in actionscript? obviously blah.text = "whatever" won't work..

Surely the anwer must have been - don't give everything the same fucking name.
A guaranteed way to make Flash bork is to give similar names (ie myVar, myvar, myvAr). It calls up it's ugly Flash 5 code and goes, "dahn't warry guvnor, I cahn run it". And proceeds to fuck up one's beautiful programming.

i don't use variables called "blah" you fucking stupid bastard. it was an example as im typing in this lame ass 150px wide box.

wow, nice manners. i guess you feel 10' tall and bullet-proof behind the anonymity of your screen.

see when some people say "cunt" it is entirely without venom, a term of endearment indeed.
You sir on the other hand manage with comparatively innocuous terminology to alienate yourself from genuinely helpful cunts.
daft, eh?

I need to swear less.
I'm working on a game though, I'm swear central.
Just got my main character's feet animated. Now his trainers flap about when he runs. Hee hee!
On re-read it looked like an eval question. I thought qr~ wanted everything to have the same name as opposed to eval.
this[blah] = createTextField();
Ho hum.
Back to drawing trainers.
