can you set your guides to show when printing?

no but you can take a screenshot of the page with the guides and print that

Don't think there is a way, sadly.
The problem with going the screenshot and print route is that you're then printing from a 72dpi file, which is fine for screen work but not for print.
The only way I can think to do this is the obvious, manual way..
View > Snap to point.
Draw lines, align to guides.
Print.

true nairn i just hadn't imagined they'd want a high res print of a piece with guides over it

yes.. its for print, I usually draw lines over my guides as needed but was hoping there was a a way to cut out that step.
