I just sold a client on a logo the other day by making up all of this bullshit about the thought process that went into it and what it means and conveys and all of that shit. I made it up on the spot and it sounded friggin amazing...it was so good I convinced myself of it too because it actually made sense...so, wait, I guess that's not really bullshitting...well, it kind of is cause I'm making crap up on the spot but it's not because that crap actually applies....but, at the same time, it's total fluff...it's like getting your fortune read...the stuff they tell you is soooo freaking generic that it could really apply to anything/anyone.
Basically, this particular logo was just a cool shape that I liked....no other thought went into it when I was designing....I had other comps for this logo where I had planned and thought everything out and the meaning and all of that....and then it turns out that the one I was just farting around with was the best.
Oh, you are probably just looking for a percentage...well, hmmm, on average probably about 10-20% a day.
