using a USB midi controller in Photoshop?

I'm wondering if it is possible, or if anyone has tried, controlling parameters within design software (i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) via a USB MIDI controller?
It seems like it would be a great idea to be able to assign something like "Luminosity" value to a slider, instead of having to use the mouse. It would also allow you to tweak more than one parameter at once; which would open up many "random" possibilites, as it does in audio production.
How can I do this?

that does sound interesting. i might also have to investigate.

well. usually photoshop asks you to arpove changes on different parameters before applying it to a specific image, (specially if working for print, changing more that one value will prolly crash your machine).
It is not a bad idea, i just dont think the process can bring anything new to the table.
When you are working with audio (or video) you are able to record your parameter changes in a specific timeframe, (volume, panning, audio resolution, etc) but on a static image you dont really have a timeline to record your parameters.. maybe in illustrator you could multiply objects and place them in different locations, Maybe in flash could be good too, for an animation.. for video, wiell that's is already done and hardware companies started to build specific controllers a long time ago..
see my point?
