give these guys a try ...
http://http//secure.hostgator.co…...... there's a 24 hour customer service chat thing on the site so you can ask direct.
On their list it says video steaming but that could just be http streaming.

hostgator.com is great. I'm in the process of switching over to them from mediatemple and from everything i've found so far, they're perfect, they have great support, great prices, and haven't heard anything bad yet.

I was going to use media temple, just wondered if been in the UK will effect the streaming?
- mnix210
no but their servers are often slow in the US and have been having problems ever since they launched the new grid system.

there wont really be a problem with location pixelchef unless there is an earthquake in the pond like the one near taiwan recently.
also are you sure you need streaming, progressive download/play of video can be just as good except the user can find the file in their cache and they cant "scrub" to a position in the video that hasnt been downloaded. streeming with FCS can get expensive with lots of connections

doesnt dreamhost have a streaming video feature?
- pixelchef0
Needs to be streaming really they are linked through the flash movie, and dont need to be downloaded.
thanks

a progressive download plays as its loaded..as does a true streaming ..you dont have to wait until its loaded to play it

hmm strange, got it with mediatemple now, seems to still stuttering, like mad. They have progressive. (the new grid system!!!)
The movie is an FLV 3mb and around 30 secs long.
Any thoughts ?
