wordpress q?

So I'm starting yet another blog in hopes of maintaining one. This one I really like.
Anyway, I want to rename the main page and it looks like Wordpress has called it "blog". What panel do I change it in? I can't figure it out for the life of me.
I can edit any of the other pages, just not the main one.
Anyone?

What do you mean, the main page? You mean, the blog page? You know, you can set other pages to be the default pages, other than the blog.

Hmmmm. I'll give that a try. I meant the page that it starts you on when you make a new one. Let me try setting something else as the main page and then trying to change it. Thanks.

In case I wasn't clear about what the problem is...
I have 3 pages, HOME, ABOUT, and BLOG. Under the pages menu, I can only edit ABOUT and BLOG but I can't figure out how to change the name of the HOME page. Nor can I figure out how to make ABOUT or BLOG the main page, thus allowing me to edit the title of the HOME page.
Hope that makes sense now. Any help?

Using 2.1 go to options > reading and from there you can change the homepage to be one of your static pages.
Make sense?

Yeah, it makes sense, but it didn't do what I'm trying to. It DID set another page as the main one, but I still can't change the title of the HOME page.
Even though I have 3 pages (HOME, ABOUT, BLOG) it only shows ABOUT and BLOG as editable pages.
Any other ideas?

Check that out. That's the site. The first page (titled blog) is the one I want to change the title of. But it doesn't show up as one of my pages, yet I can post to it.
Do I need to make an actual 3rd page? Is that like some default page? All I want to do is change the title of that blog page.

i dont think you can do much to the index page with wordpress....

You'd have to edit one of the .php file I expect. may be in the template 'header.php' or may be in the wordpress files, not sure which.
To confirm, your not trying to change anything but the word itself?

if it is then you need to open the header file and edit the following to whatever word you want to replace 'Blog'...
" title="Blog">Blog

Check your email, think its what you want, basicly its just at the bottom of the header file.

Oh, and just to throw this out there...if changing the page name doesn't work, does anyone know how easy it is to move the few entries I have on that main page to another page? Is there some kind of easy transfer way to do it?
