Starring who? Mark Wahlberg and Mark Wahlberg? Special guest star Mark Wahlberg?
Oops, was that a spoiler?
- Mimio0
Why not. It'll still be better than 99% of the garbage that get's released all year long.

hope not, for the sake of Scorsese.
he'll probably win an award this year, finally, but for a film that doesnt really deserve it.
the departed was ok, but not good. the writing really failed. at the end, they didnt have a clear plot worked out, so they grab people and give them new identities to make the story work – was weak.
for good writing in that area, see david mamet or christopher mcquarrie.

what a great movie, it should win all the awards, i was surprised to learn it was a remake or an Asian movie. does anyone know what movie that was? but great movie never the less....
- Mimio0
It's based on Andrew Lau's "Internal Affairs."

Whoops, that's right Calles.

oh yeah letters, i do agree on many levels, the story line was a bit of a stretch - as most big budget movies are, yes most of the actors sucked over the last couple of years but this was the best work all of them have done. not to mention fantastic editing by thelma shcoomaker, that's really where all the magic comes together

I think it was better work for some of the actors.
But Baldwin has done better lately.
Damon has done better, though I think he is always close to spot on. His ability to not overtake and play it down the middle is amazing.
the rest, indeed, better than usual, but I dont think thats saying much. Jack was Jack, unfortunately. And Dicaprio was shit as he is lately – such tragedy where he is now compared to his delivery in something like Basketball diaries.
*sigh*

Wow, are you saying their performances actually took you out of the reality of the movie? I thought they were fine and really entertaining.

is it the western version of Infernal Affairs 2? The sequel which turned out to be the prequel?

(Feb 7 07, 08:43)I don't get it. Kill Bill was a two-parter. And fantastic.
- Jaline0
I don't think a sequel is needed, but I guess I can trust Scorcese.
Most of the actors were good, but many of them acted the same way they act in every other film.
- CALLES0
kill bill was actually one
- Jaline0
Yeah, Calles, that was my point. It's a two-parter, but still one project.
Anyway, robo was talking about something else. Lots of directors are Westernizing Eastern films. Not sure if it's an entirely positive thing, but obviously there have been great projects to come out of that practice. And more interest in foreign films.
