Kelly Clarkson is still the best American Idol. Katherine seems like she could get more popular, almost as much as Clay Aiken did after his "loss". I've seen tons of interviews with her in magazines this month.

Kelly Clarkson is/was the definitely the hottest American Idol ever.
But I believe that has a lot to do with makeup?
I'm not sure.
She's tiny too.
I think someone linked pictures to when she was a porker which kind of ruined her for me but then again I laugh everytime I look at someone famous in terms of how beautiful I think they are, or are not knowing that 99% of the time they have no idea who I am.

Yeah, Kelly's not usually skinny, but she can definitely sing. AI is about the singing abilities as well as the look, so it all depends. I'm attracted to watching the auditions in the same way that we are all into looking at a car wreck as we drive by it.

yes Jaline, Kelly Clarkson is by far the best American Idol. Talentwise.
Now, Katherine McPhee has to be the most beautiful contestant in the show's history. I don't think she is a great singer, although I kinda like her voice (Beautiful girl+talent is ideal) but I think she will soon move to TV or movies and she will become huge! She looks waaay better than any skank out there right now like Fergie, Gwen S, Britney, Hillary Duff and company.... And even when I see her red carpet pics on line at the supermarket, I think she looks classier and sexier than most Hollywood 'cuties'.

Agreed. I thought she was hot on the show last year, a bit more curvaceous than my type but sometimes that's really attractive.
Read an article in the paper the other day, she's dieted and lost weight and is supposed to be "smokin' hot" as the Howard Stern listener would say.

Her next album should be interesting:
"Kelly Clarkson has collaborated with punk rock veteran Mike Watt for her upcoming album.
Watt was recruited to play "fuzz bass, fills and solos (and) just making things fatter" on the album, Gigwise.com reported Monday.
Watt was the founding bassist form The Minutemen and is playing with the reunited Iggy and the Stooges."
