I have a logo i have designed in illustrator but would like to use it in inDesign as vector rather than importing an .eps. How can i have the exact same logo as a vector still in inDesign? can we export? cheers

what ive found is either use the pathfinder to in illustrator to connect everything and make it the color you want in illustrator first, THEN copy/paste into INDD.
if it still isnt working right, youre gonna have to import as an EPS man. not that big of a deal really to me.
hope that helps.

You can also go into your Illy prefs. Make sure you have Preserve paths checked and you can copy and paste directly from Illy to InDesign.
Which versions are you working with?

hello. i am working from cs 1

do what i said for illy...check in InD to see if it has Prefer pdf when pasting checked - try unchecking that.
Both of what I am referring you to are under File Handling in both Illy and InD prefs.
hope that is what you are looking for?

it still imports an uneditable doc. anyway that's fine, i''ll just import an .eps
thanks for your help.

if you place an eps, you can go back to illy and edit it and it will update. not sure i understand what the problem is. also, by default eps looks chunky in ind unless you set display performance to high quality

Not saying to import just saying to copy and paste.
