mac mail keeps identifying most of my legitimate emails as junk, even though I keep setting them as "not junk" it's not learning as it's supposed to. Has this happened with anyone else?

how about if I link to a youtube video of me saying "mac mail keeps identifying most of my legitimate emails as junk, even though I keep setting them as "not junk" it's not learning as it's supposed to. Has this happened with anyone else?"

sometimes it does - but then I just click "not junk" and it learns.
ur prefs set ok?

perhaps if it was porn-related mail, you might get a response?

yeah, I click "not Junk" but it doesn't learn. And I have it in "training" mode.
- aliceblue0
maybe it takes more time - it says "overtime" mail will learn ....
maybe set mail pref to exempt
messages that have your full name
if that would workmight be a pain but adding senders to address book will help

export a "not junk - but junked" email to your desktop. Go to your applications folder and click on the Mail application icon. Drag that icon to the desktop where the "not junk - but junked" email appears and rub the application's nose in it. Return application icon to applications folder.

emails i send myself always end up marked as junk. and i am most definitely in my own address book.

I used to have the same issues. Get SpamSieve, if works perfect.

"Sender of Mail is in Address Book'?
- grunttt0
you might (if you haven't already) check apple discussions. pretty good resource.

I've given up on Mail's junk mail filtering. Give the free demo of spamsieve a shot, or Spamsweep.
