How many times a month do you play sick and not go to work?, today is my 5th, I am sleeping, eating and applying for new job.

Depends who's in my bed in the morning.

and why do you do it?
- Jaline0
Today is the first from all year.
However, I generally go to work a few hours late since I usually don't have very much work to do, and I only work on Fridays.
As for school, it's uni so missing classes every week is not a big deal. Until exams.

never!
faking sickness is for pussies

do you have any samples of your work JALINE?

Never. I never skive off work. If I am really ill which is rare I take the day off or however long it takes before I am able to come in and work properly, or I sometimes simply phone and say is it cool if I come in at lunchtime as I am a bit poorly and normally I feel better by lunch time.

Yeah, well I wish I liked my job its kinda obvious I simply dont care about it anymore...I'm usually always there and on time, but they just abuse so i do it back, am i doing wrong?

sounds like you're on your way out of there – just don't get fired for BS sick days when you can leave on good terms with just a bit of discipline. any decent boss will know when you're full of shit, and it's a shot to your credibility and professionalism when you pull the fake-o sick routine.

stolen holidays are the best sort of holiday

I have only called in sick once in the 7 months I've been here.
But I did take a week off in September for my honeymoon, and another week off early January for a vacation so that kind of makes up for it.
I made up my mind though that I will be taking a 'personal' day next week to relax. My boss took one today saying 'I'm going to spend the day with my family'. Which is nice. I think I might start to do this once a month.

(Feb 2 07, 07:26)Nothing like deciding on the spur of the moment on a Tuesday morning to give yourself the day off.
I almost always go to work when I am sick so as to be able to actually enjoy my sick days.

i took my first "sick" day of the year on january 5th. because my wife was staying home from work.
i don't get to hang out with her all that much bc she works until 9pm two nights a week and saturday 9am-6pm as a spa director. so i'll take all my sick days this year (10) when she is at home too.

I only take days off when I have to meet with my parole officer and get tested for STDs.

OSFA needs to take a day off immediately! haha

I have a pal whose claims of work related stress have allowed him to work less than 6 months out of the last year, on full pay the entire time.
is he fuck stressed out.

Once a month, even if I'm not sick, but usually I find a day when there's no crazy tight deadlines and they won't miss my presence at work much. I use that day to watch movies, play some video games or read a book. Keeps me sane.

I guess no one at your current company uses nt eh.
