in a few years after my newly custom built PC becomes antiquated... i'm thinking of finally going with a prebuilt system, and ive been seeing a lot of ads for BOXX's in design mags.. the specs seem pretty powerful and apparently they have great support. has anyone worked on one of them and would you recommend them? note, i don't like working on a Mac workstation, i prefer that for my casual laptop.

Drexel University Digital Media grad student lab and class rooms all use Boxx towers with dual boot (linux and Windows). They seem pretty powerful and easy to clean.
All this dispite the stupid as all hell flash intro on their web site.

Only thing I can think of is that if you are going to use the computer for home use at all you aren't going to want any of the graphics cards it comes with. Also it seems like support for dual processors is sort of stagnant at the moment.

i wouldn't use it for gaming or anything, just designing (highrez print, some 3d, etc). what's wrong with the vid cards they supply?

i've heard nothing but good things about them. i was going to go with a boxx and switch back from mac, but when the mac pros came out, had everything i wanted, and were cheaper than i thought they'd be i decided to stay w/ mac and not have to worry about software license issues.

I've only heard good things about them too. They are expensive, however, and kept me from buying one (I've stuck with Dell).
