Anyone know of any good ones online?
Particularly interested in baseline stuff and typography shit.
Yeah, I don't know what I'm talking about which is why I need a tutorial.

I used to use InDesign at my old workplace, where I am now uses Quark 7.1.
I'm not a novice by any means, but I've always managed to get away without using baseline alignment. Figured as I'm re-learning a new tool I might as well learn how to do things properly.
Quark is wierd, nothing is as straight forward compared to InDesign.

I only really use baseline grid when designing forms, as basically, its a bit iof a nightmare.

I've been playing around with it this morning, it does seem a bit of a nightmare. Maybe I've lived without it for this long for a reason.
It just seems useful when designing text heavy, magazine type layouts – where you have different type sizes in the same text box for example, it's hard getting the last line of each column lined up.
What would be another way around that without using a baseline grid?
