I seriously come here because I look up to a lot of extremely talented designers who post here. But there is just a general meanness in this place too.

I usually help out, and have no problems with pointing out that the thread-starter could've searched Google before coming here, or have mentioned that he/she searched various sites and couldn't find anything.

i mean, you admitted to working a job where it was your responsibility to solve the problem you posted.
in my eyes at least, you are profiting directly off my knowledge. that i won't, can't, don't feel i should allow.

actually, the atmosphere here in NT has gotten quite a bit better over the last 6 months. There was a period last year that was really bad, but for the most part there have been improvements here in the PVN as far as how people treat each other and the overall quality of the content (Jessica Biel *drool...)
But seriously, are there any long running community sites out there where everyone sits around, sips tea and compliment's each other's handwriting? Where there's open discussion there's open insulting as well. It happens when you get x amount of people from different backgrounds together into a free range message board.

I understand what you're saying Jaline, but sometimes when you're in a crunch, a forum is the place to ask a question, right? Otherwise, I'm all for going and doing the research on your own beforehand.

V4, this isn't about my last post. I don't even care about that anymore. I wasn't qualified for that last job so it was probably better I didn't stay there. But I went in for an interview today and it didn't go so well so I was kind of bummed. I was about to ask for advice on here when I thought to myself that I'd probably only get ripped apart anyways.
