This is easy but i cant remember how to do it...
How do you move a pattern around inside its respective bounding box? Basically, i want to move the placement of a repeating pattern inside the bounding box without moving the placement of the bounding box.

(Feb 1 07, 10:10).. that is, hold the tilde ~ while you drag, nudge, rotate or transform the object.
pattern will move, object won't.
magic :)

double click the "black" arrow to open the dialog box for that tool and uncheck "objects" leave "patterns" checked and set the distance to where you want the pattern moved ...
also make sure "preview" is checked as well.

"apple + ~" apple key + Tilde Key allows you to move from one document window to the next, incase you didnt know of that tilde feature as well.
