hi
just a couple of quick questions I have for Indeisgn...
you know how the text sometimes get a bit darker when you have an image behind it? how do i fix this?
also, how do i specify paragraph spacing (not leading i think) with paragraph styling?

the type darkening is a display issue you can sort out under preferences > display performance. as well make sure you have your overprint preview turned on (cmd + opt + shift + y) if in fact you happen to be overprinting the text on the photo.
i assume you are refering to the space after function which can be adjusted in either the paragraph window (the second field from the bottom on the right) or in the paragraph or character style tab settings.

hey john,
thanks. about the paragraph spacing, im setting everything in paragraph style, i can set the kern and lead but is there an option to set also the spacing between paragraphs?
like, usually if i dont set style i would just highlight the first line on the paragraphs and adjust the leading. but beacsue im setting style i want to have a consistent paragraph spacing in all the paragraphs without having to do it individually...
does that make sense?

paragraph:
"space after"the text changing colour over an image may be due to colour space issues, and/or be because you're using some kind of transparency.

under spacing and indents tab in the stylesheet dialog is the space before and space after functions.

New question
How can I edit a document page that has a master setting applied to it?
Is there another way to do it instead of Overriding and or Shift +Command with select tool.

edit how...
command + shift is the easiest way to do it.to detach items from the master (applied to the whole page), you can hold down shft + opt + cmd + L
