when i watch 3D work i always kick myself for going in the industry im in...but then i remember the fit model sessionsw and all that 3D is replaced with boooooooobies!!!

my girlfriend is a fashion designer,
studies at Antwerp fashion academy. right now in the other room cutting fabric ;)and i'm working on her presentation movie..

your girl is in the right city for the studying of fashion, Antwerp is the fashion capital of the world and always will be. i went to Antwerp on my honeymoon, it was great for us because we are both accessory product designers so being in Antwerp was very inspiring for starting our careers.want to switch cities???
i went to school for fashion illustration and freelanced in the fashion industry from apparel to accessories back and forth, but in the last 5 years ive done strictly accessories hand sketching and illustrator...
back to 3D i have always envied those designers because even though i am comfortable with illy ii know i still have sooo many years to mature with the functionalties of the program and i try so hard to maniulate the vector to a 3D universe without going fully into the 3D programs but now i want to!!!!
how much are these programs and can i use them on my intel laptop or do i need a more stable tower or something like that??

Get C4D- easy to use, no special hardware required. Great results. I switched to this from Maya... Thank god. You need a team of dudes to run Maya like you can run C4D by yourself.

about the 3d,
same feel here.especially since i do also do motion its hard to tell by story just by 2d vectors and-or photoshop manipultion..

and yeah Antwerp fashion capital, i also studied at the same school but than graphic designer...all teh money whent to the fashion dep.

my experience is pretty much illy only, i rarely touch photoshop as it is, but the controls are the same as illy so its ok to fish around but im terrible with photoshop. horrible.
illy is very easy to work with and i have grown accustom to unexpect quits and craashes and huge file sizes for line art which makes no sense but im used to taht....
is c4d much of that same?? crash, fail, burn, archive, i mean delete!!

C4D is pretty stable. Your Illy should be more stable too... Mine rarely crashes, and I'm in it all day, every day.
