Anyways. When Area 17 first launched there was a credit line at the bottom of the page. Area 17 was built off an open source PHP program. So in reality Qlear could be using the same PHP image gallery for their site.

Hmmm...
It's a possibility but I still reckon it's a rip-off of Arnaud Mercier's Area 17 site... I love that site & it bugs me that it's been lifted for another design site...

HAH! that is excellent, I was just thinking the same exact thing! There is the possibility that it is simply an open source site project, in which case, it is forgivable. The question would then follow, why would arnaud mercier use an open source skin for his site? That doesnt make much sense.
What open source project is it, btw.

arnaud built the original filesystem which runs area17 now. it used to run his site and when they merged it got applied to area17.com. its been improved thou since the original one.
