freelance billing question

So I hope some peeps can help me out.
I recently have been hired as a freelancer and I need to turn in my w9... my new boss said he will just be sending me work and i can work from home...
Now the questions is how do I bill him for my work? My rate for this particular job is $25/hr. Do I just give him an invoice end of every week with how many hours I worked? Or do i just say I will work from 9-2 everyday and just bill him for that time slot even though at times work might be slow?
I'm confused.... help would be great!
thanks

on site- hourly billing invoice at end of week.
off site- day billing or job billing, invoice at the end of week.

ola, I agree with edd-e. Invoice at the end of each week is the way to go.
I use these 2 tools for a long time and can't live without it:

To track your time. They have a nice mac widget that just makes my life so much easierand when I am ready to send the invoice:
http://www.freshbooks.com/You can track your time with freshbooks too but it is not as sweet as tickspot
