I saw this last night on top gear and thought, wow top speed in britain and also fastest crash as well, both unofficial, such a nightmare but I got all imotional when he had done his second last run and he said something like.
'every single inch of my body is coarsing with adrenaline I AM SO ALIVE I FEEL SO ALIVE'
it was a great bit of telly.

weird though, as that happens in F1 all the time, but you never get the same feeling. maybe because he's just an ordinary dude...

Well considering they get £m's spent on the design, and the best engineers money can buy, I reckon they must be somewhat safer than an afterburner with wheels... I mean that thing looked like it was knocked up on scrapheap challenge.

Been watching top gear all weekend on Youtube - great show, shame I can't get it over here in the states. But yea, the construction of those F1 cars are made with those crashes in mind. Mind you, they may look spectacular but most of the time the driver gets out with minimal harm. That thing on the other hand, was just made to go as fast as possible in a straight line haha.
