I've had CRAZY problems with MT's mySQL uptime too. Don't blame the poster.

Firstly, I'm a new (mt) and I can honestly say I can see why they are highly regarded -- whether they're just a "DesignWhore" feature or not.
I just got hold of the (gs) platform and I love it -- from a developers point of view and someone that has to dance between multiple sites -- the tools are darling.
I can only think that they are having teething problems with this new (gs) jive -- I say let them have some slack to figure things out, it IS pretty cool.
And they aren't pricey anymore either IMO.

Btw, I feel ya pain, the number of times I been sitting in that Director's Office about to show him the goods and the effing sites down work for whatever reason.
Priceless.
Remember, when you're facing a Director that is now looking at you funny because your website crash -- blame the host, works every time. j/k

this is an awful lot of teething

because it's a big cliche for designers to use them and when things go wrong people wine about it.

They're obviously doing something right. When I did use them I didn't have any major problems.
I currently use Dreamhost and Indyhost though, because DH is amazingly cheap (coupled with the discount codes) and Indyhost is a local one.

have they fixed the f*n spam filter that hasn't been letting zip files through for the last week?
WTF?
i got an email last night saying they had. apparently not. GRRR.

i will say this, they may not respond to tickets immediately anymore, and it takes them a few tries to fix some problems..
but they are definitely putting in the effort and trying to fix everything.and hopefully i didnt just jinx my shit

so.. the latest is that "yes" you can send zip files through their mail servers... BUT .... you must only send one file within any given zip... very helpful.
