yeah, thats what I have been hearing. Is the water cold? Here in NH/Boston, it gets down to 50ºF during the summer. Thats pretty damn cold. However, I have heard that the water is actually warmer there, or the same depending on the currents.

haha. Not much different from being home with the lady drunk is it K?
Vancouver's job market is seriously back asswards. The pay is mediocre at bst and its hard to break into the decent shops because the jobs are at a premium and the decent shops are still dealing with the budget constarints of the Canadian advertising market. There are a few exceptions but I'm happier working for an American studio than I ever was working for a Canadian one. If you can swing it I reccomend freelancing. Working for yanks and living in Canada is the best of situations to be in.

i don't know the actual temp of the water but i does get cold. if your out all day in the water you would were a wet suit.

Stay away. Its not nice here. Not at all. Nope. Horrible city. Trees everywhere and the mountains just take away from my view of the city.

Here, at the end of August, YES AUGUST(!), you need a wetsuit just to wade into the water, much less get in the water to surf.
So, I am sure the waves get real nice there. The W Coast gets much nicer breaks. Here, even with a strom, the curls collapse. No tubes. Sad, so sad.

More like K-Stale bahahahaha don't listen to him, he likes to make pretty pottery and sell it at the market.

Actually yeah, it's cold, stormy and plain ol' shitty.

aaahhhh riiiggghhht.
Seriously. We arent americans in that sense. Matter of fact, my wife and I have gotten so bad, we make fun of Americans here in the states. (saying this in our "free country" will prob get me sent to Guantanomo, but whatever). We are not going to come up there and be like, "Yo! Kanuck, get me a beer, y'all got some budwesier?"
I lived in Seattle for a few years and loved it. Beautiful mountains, green in so many good ways, mild winters, and plain beauty everywhere. But at this point, we are leaving the states due to a lot of reasons. Cost of living, our leaders, our ignorant society, and we are VERY sick of corporations feeding at the trough of the common person. But anyway, dont wanna get all socio-political on you. Trust me, we arent bad. Just wanna live somewhere where we can just blend in and enjoy.

Hmm...interesting reasons. I think it'd be a nice change for you to move to Canada. See how it is and then move back if it really is horrible. Although I think you'll like it.

Ive been surfing in tofino, which is on the island. During summer and definetly a wet suit is in order.
Beautiful place. They get a rainy season, but no one there seems to mind much. The only downside it they no longer have bertuzzi.
- K_Fresh0
You're home alone on a Friday night and drunk, and I know it.
- pyeaton0
Thanks Jaline! Yeah, that is kinda the plan. We are torn between the NL and BC. But, Canada is a lot easier.
Also, thanks Ross. Rainy seasn is no biggie. Especially when one used to brutal cold in which one needsa space suit to go for a walk so they dont die.

from what i hear from friends i think Vancouver is more about grassroots and small drawing shops than big design houses. God bless.
