[utterly unimportant thread ahoy]
Do any of you UKers remember what the dodgy chemical that made kids hyper in Kia-Ora, back in the 80s, was?
I always thought it was tartrazine, but its not.
[see? told you, yet you still read this far? for shame.]

According to Wikipaedo, Kia-Ora takes its name from "kia ora", a Māori language greeting which has entered New Zealand English. It means literally "be well/healthy" and is used for both "hello" and "goodbye".
Well, there you go.

Nairn, whilst I share your appreciation for 80's beverage trivia I'd much prefer you share your music collection in the FMT.
- Nairn0
but if I start doing that I'll really not be working, whereas this way I can just alt-tab and share asinine observations with you guys, then alt-tab back and stare blankly at Illustrator for another 10 minutes.

A little of both. But after that whole court restraining order thing I can no longer give them steroids.
