yeah, I am at that point of making that transition. But I don't think I have it in me todo it. I think I would end up commiting myself to an asylum.

175-250k in NYC is like 95k anywhere else.

tconn, yes it is. (As well as being an AD can be, and dealing with all the filtered-down drama that everyone above you deals with.)
I think the industry is fairly infuriating at every level; it's just a matter of which brand/manner of annoyance ad difficulty you have to deal with at each level.
I'm fairly certain you're a good CD. Don't let it get you too down.

I really think over the years a CD has lost it's true meaning. Many companies do allow a CD to be creative, but so many anymore,, a CD is a manager that gets to spend 5% of his time being creative and 95% of his time dealing with making the shareholders, clients and CEO happy,, along with putting out fires below him. It is really sad.

Just picked up the book "Pick Me - Breaking Into Advertising and Staying There"
Lots of banter about the lives of CDs and such. Interesting book.
